 The underpass air tastes like stale wine & piss. the people resemble roaches, and in the back of trucks and floors of astrovans, seem to out-number them as well. what passes fro decent conversation is pathetic. "Couldn't spare a cigarette, could ya?".. very rarely does one catch a "got the time?," or even "lovely weather we;re having." sarcastically through a brown holy  smile.
